Design

I taught myself HTML and the basics of webdesign when I was 12, and I've continued to hone these skills over the last 14 years. I have absolutely no formal education; instead, I'm driven by a curiosity at how code works and a love of jumping in and building something new.

My design aesthetic is minimalistic with a focus on beautiful typography, color, and user-friendliness. I believe that simple, clean design allows a website's content to become the focus -- as it should be.

The advertisements above were created for events within the English department at East Carolina University, and distributed via email and the departmental plasma television.

⇢ BLOG LOGOS

⇢ POSTERS

The above posters were designed for the English department at East Carolina University for the National Endowment for the Humanities events. They were hung in the Bate building for one year following the event.

⇢ WEBSITES

Currently, I maintain the First Year Writing Studio website via the Web Management platform Commonspot.

The above are two blogs I designed.
